Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. Someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Export Control Requirement :
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Some domestic and international travel will be required.
Key job responsibilities
You will support Kuiper's commercial customer and channel partner contracts, focusing primarily on land mobility engagements. Your responsibilities include structuring, drafting, and negotiating a range of agreements, as well as counseling the business team on issues that arise in customer and partner engagements. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and agility.
