Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide legal support across commercial contracting and business counseling, primarily for Financial Services and Best Buy Business Sales teams. You will negotiate complex agreements and advise on contractual risk.

This hybrid role requires on-site work in Richfield, MN four days a week and remote on Fridays. A JD from an ABA-accredited school and Minnesota licensure, plus 3+ years of post-bar experience, are required.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota.
• 3+ years post-bar experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Significant experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements.
• Experience balancing legal risk with business objectives in commercial contracting and business counseling matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide variety of complex commercial agreements across the business.
• Counsel business teams on commercial matters involving customers, vendors, partners, and service providers.
• Advise stakeholders on contractual risk, business objectives, and practical legal solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive efficient outcomes.
• Manage a broad range of commercial contracting and business counseling matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, and contracting processes.
