Job summary

VOYlegal LLC. in Washington, DC, seeks a Corporate Counsel to build and lead the company’s legal function from the ground up in the DC metro area.

You will translate complex regulatory and business issues into clear guidance for non-legal stakeholders. You bring 5+ years of legal experience (in-house preferred), familiarity with FCC and state/local telecom rules, and a track record negotiating contracts, real estate/easements, and financing documents.

This company, launched in 2025 is looking for a Corporate Counsel in the DC metro area, with an interest in open access fiber networks.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house experience; telecommunications, infrastructure, construction, or utilities industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with FCC and state/local telecom regulatory frameworks a plus.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts, real estate/easement agreements, and financing documents.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating as a hands-on generalist in a lean, fast-moving organization.
