Moore & Van Allen's Charlotte office is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Corporate practice group. The role focuses on representing public and private companies in commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.

The ideal candidate has over three years of corporate in-house experience, with strong business acumen and excellent written and verbal communication. M&A experience is welcome but not required; the position involves drafting and negotiating

Qualifications

• Three+ years of corporate in-house experience.
• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission preferred.
• Experience drafting and negotiating principal and ancillary agreements for supply, purchase, service, transportation, and other commercial transactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Moore & Van Allen's Charlotte office is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Corporate practice group. This group represents both public and privately owned companies in a variety of business matters, including commercial contract issues, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance counsel.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of corporate in-house experience. While M&A experience is welcome, it is not required. A strong business background and the ability to quickly grasp business concepts are highly valued. This position involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating principal and ancillary agreements related to supply, purchase, service, transportation, and other commercial transactions. The candidate will be engaged in a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects and will have extensive client contact, providing pragmatic counsel. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to ask questions and learn, and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
