Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a prominent southeastern law firm with a national practice, seeks an Attorney with 8+ years of relevant experience to join its Commercial Real Estate team in Charleston.

You will represent developers, investors, operators, and lenders in multifamily, industrial, office, mixed-use, and workforce housing assets, handling acquisitions, dispositions, financings, equity investments, leases, and related matters.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school is required.
• Eligible for admission to the South Carolina Bar.
• Ability to manage and close complex real estate transactions in a collaborative environment.
• Experience negotiating purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, leases.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions across asset classes (multifamily, industrial, office, mixed-use).
• Advise on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, equity investments, and related ownership matters.
• Prepare and review leases, development, zoning, and property tax matters; advise on tax abatement programs.
• Liaise with developers, lenders, investors, and institutional clients to close transactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a prominent southeastern law firm with a national practice, is actively seeking a Attorney with 8+ years of relevant experience to join its dynamic Commercial Real Estate team in its Charleston office.

In this role, you will represent clients in all aspects of the commercial real estate landscape, including developers, investors, operators and lenders in connection with multifamily, industrial, office, mixed use and workforce housing assets. You will provide legal counsel in connection with acquisitions, dispositions. financings (including real property secured construction and permanent loans), common and preferred equity investments, joint venture agreements, capital raises and related ownership and corporate matters, leases, development and zoning matters. Additionally, you may represent clients in zoning appeals, property tax assessments, and tax abatement programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, be eligible for admission to the South Carolina Bar, and demonstrate the ability to manage and close complex real estate transactions in a collaborative environment, utilizing leadership and independence. Experience negotiating purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, leases, and representing developers, lenders, and institutional clients is preferred. Regular office attendance required.
