Remote (with periodic Jacksonville, FL onsite)
Our client is a rapidly scaling, private equity–backed outpatient healthcare platform delivering physical therapy and allied health services across approximately 300 locations nationwide. The organization is in a pivotal phase of growth—continuing to expand through acquisitions while strengthening enterprise‑level financial rigor and scalability.
They are seeking a Corporate Controller to report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact leadership role at the center of the company’s financial operations, M&A activity, and platform maturation.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a proven healthcare accounting leader who thrives in PE‑backed, multi‑site environments, brings strong technical accounting expertise, and wants meaningful runway within a growing platform. The Controller will play a foundational role in building scalable processes, supporting acquisitions, and serving as a key thought partner to the CFO and executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all core accounting operations (GL, close, financial reporting, audits)
- Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls across a multi‑site platform
- Lead acquisition accounting, purchase accounting, and post‑close integration
- Optimize accounting systems, processes, and controls for scale (ERP experience strongly preferred)
- Lead, mentor, and develop the corporate accounting team
- Partner closely with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership
Candidate Profile
Required
- CPA required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (Controller or equivalent)
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred (multi‑site required)
- Deep expertise in GAAP, audits, internal controls, and M&A accounting
Preferred
- Hands‑on, execution‑oriented leader with strong executive presence
- Comfortable operating in high‑growth, evolving environments
Location & Travel
- Open to remote candidates
- Willingness to be onsite in Jacksonville, FL approximately one week per month
