Job summary

CFS, a well-established manufacturing company, seeks a Corporate Controller to lead accounting, tax, payroll, controls, and financial reporting. The role drives the financial strategy and partners with executive leadership to influence business performance.

Responsibilities include budgeting, cash management, audits, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on internal controls and strategic financial planning. Hybrid work model with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing.
• 7+ years of leadership experience in accounting, payroll, AP, AR.
• 5+ years of corporate tax experience (federal, state, local, sales/use).
• CPA strongly preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Public accounting foundation and large manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL, tax, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end close and ensure policy/compliance with deadlines.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
• Oversee tax filings: federal, state, local, income, and sales/use.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and 401(k) audits.
• Manage cash flow, internal controls, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities For The Corporate Controller

• Lead all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, tax, and financial reporting
• Manage month-end close and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and deadlines
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis activities
• Oversee federal, state, local, income, and sales/use tax filings and compliance
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and 401(k) audits
• Manage cash flow, internal controls, and risk mitigation

Qualifications For The Corporate Controller

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing accounting, payroll, AP, AR, and related functions
• 5+ years of corporate tax experience including federal, state, local, and sales/use tax compliance
• CPA strongly preferred
• SAP experience preferred but not required if all other qualifications are met
• Public accounting foundation and large manufacturing company experience highly desirable
