Job Description

The Corporate Controller role is responsible for directing the accounting and finance activities. The position will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable areas of the enterprise, which is comprised of four team members. The Corporate Controller will also work closely with the Project Finance & Governance Manager to produce accurate reporting on project financials.

The Corporate Controller is an integral member of the national leadership team with direct influence over our profitability and growth, reporting to the VP of Finance and Accounting. Together, you will work to grow your immediate team, influence positive change, and shape the way for a successful 2025 and beyond!

Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00/year

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain internal controls and oversight for proper recognition of project revenue and expenses.
3. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
4. Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including Board Members.
5. Collaborate with the VP of Finance and Accounting to establish departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation.
7. Lead annual CPA financial reviews, audits, and assist with other audits as needed.
8. Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets.
9. Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering trust and productivity.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of senior-level accounting or Controller experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Experience within the AEC industry.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Deltek experience is highly preferred.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
