About Zippertubing®

The Zippertubing Company is a privately held, American-owned manufacturer that has been delivering innovative engineered solutions since 1957. With approximately 40–50 employees, we're large enough to support customers around the world while remaining small enough for every employee to make a meaningful impact.

As part of the Zippertubing family of companies, our organization has an international presence spanning the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, and China. We combine the agility and entrepreneurial culture of a privately owned manufacturer with the complexity and global reach of an international business.

At Zippertubing, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of our culture. We are looking for professionals who enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and contributing to a team where every role matters.

Position Summary

The Corporate Controller provides financial leadership across multiple companies within the Zippertubing family of businesses. Reporting to executive leadership, this position is responsible for overseeing corporate accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial processes while partnering with leaders across U.S. and international operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced finance professional who understands both the technical requirements of accounting and the operational realities of a manufacturing environment.

The Corporate Controller will play an important role in strengthening financial processes, improving reporting and controls, supporting international operations, and providing executive leadership with accurate, timely, and actionable financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple business entities.
  • Oversee timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Provide executive leadership with financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Partner with operations, sales, supply chain, and other business leaders to understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial modeling.
  • Analyze profitability, working capital, cash flow, operating performance, and key financial metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
  • Support the evaluation of strategic investments, business initiatives, and growth opportunities.
Global & International Finance
  • Manage accounting considerations related to multiple currencies and foreign exchange.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
  • Partner with finance teams and business leaders across Germany, Switzerland, Japan, China, and the United States.
  • Support accounting and financial reporting requirements for international subsidiaries and foreign legal entities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and other financial professionals.
  • Support international compliance, transfer pricing, and related financial requirements.
  • Help ensure consistency of financial processes and reporting practices across global operations.
  • Provide financial support and analysis for international business initiatives and growth opportunities.
Manufacturing Finance
  • Oversee accounting practices related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor standard costing, product costing, and manufacturing variances.
  • Analyze gross margin, material costs, labor costs, overhead, and other drivers of profitability.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain leadership to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze inventory levels, working capital, and cash conversion.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through financial analysis and operational insights.
Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead, develop, and support accounting and finance personnel as applicable.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and consistent financial processes.
  • Evaluate accounting systems and technology and recommend improvements where appropriate.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
  • Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and evolving best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, including Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Finance, or comparable responsibility.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting.
  • Experience supporting multiple business entities, subsidiaries, or divisions.

  • Experience supporting privately held, entrepreneurial, or family-owned businesses.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
What You'll Bring

We're looking for a finance leader who can operate at both the strategic and hands-on levels. You should be comfortable reviewing financial statements and consolidations but also willing to dig into the details when something doesn't look right. You'll need the technical accounting expertise to maintain strong financial controls while also having the business judgment to explain what the numbers mean and how they should influence decisions.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Strategic – able to connect financial information to broader business objectives.
  • Analytical – comfortable identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and financial drivers.
  • Hands-On – willing to get into the details and solve problems.
  • Collaborative – able to build strong relationships across functions and countries.
  • Improvement-Oriented – motivated to strengthen processes, systems, and controls.
  • Business-Minded – understands that finance is a partner to the business, not simply a reporting function.
  • Discreet & Trustworthy – demonstrates sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and business information.
Why Join Zippertubing?
  • This is an opportunity to join a financially stable, privately owned manufacturer where you will have direct access to executive leadership and the opportunity to influence financial and operational decisions across multiple businesses.
  • Unlike a large public corporation, you'll be able to see the direct impact of your work and help shape the processes, systems, and financial practices that support the company's continued growth.
  • You'll join a company that combines nearly 70 years of manufacturing excellence with an entrepreneurial culture and international reach. Your work will directly support businesses serving Aerospace, Defense, Medical, Automotive, Space, and Industrial markets around the world.
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • 401(k) with Company Match
