Job summary

StevenDouglas partners with a financial services firm to hire a newly created Corporate Controller. This leadership role will own the month-end close process and play a significant part in the company’s high-growth strategy through M&A activity and integration.

Responsibilities include end-to-end monthly close, preparing statements with variance analysis, multi-entity accounting across platforms and acquired entities, intercompany and consolidation tasks, and managing workpapers, K-1s, and

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of accounting experience with month-end close
• Experience with M&A integration and consolidation
• ERP experience; larger ERP preferred
• CPA preferred but not required
• Strong leadership and fast-paced environment adaptability

StevenDouglas is partnered with a financial services company who is looking to hire a newly created Corproate Controller to the team.

The role will have ownership of all month-end close and play a significant part of their high growth as it relates to M&A activity and integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close end to end: trial balance, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, tie-outs and the workpaper binder.
• Monthly financial statements with a written variance read before circulation.
• Multi-entity accounting across the platform and acquired entities: intercompany, allocations and consolidation. Accounts payable, payment runs, expense and card administration.
• Accounting structure and policy. Assemble the workpaper package, review K-1s before filing, and make the estimated payments.
• Managemonthly reporting.
• OverseeFinancial, HR and operations diligence and the diligence checklist; closing deliverables, the closing statement and funds flow; contract assignment; post-close financial and systems setup, people and facilities; and the ongoing monthly operation of acquired entities.

Requirements

• Has owned a monthly close end to end.
• At least 7-10 years with a strong accounting background, month-end close and someone who has experience with M&A integration.
• Larger ERP experience such is highly preferred.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• This person will need to be comfortable making leadership decisions and work in a fast based environment.
