Plusses:

Day to Day:

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications owns the function—setting global strategy, operating frameworks, and executive and investor-facing communications. This role is the senior execution partner who brings that strategy to life across internal communications, employee engagement, business partnership, and external communications oversight, reaching employees, leaders, and stakeholders across North America, APAC, and EMEA. Corporate Communications is a lean, high-impact team, so breadth matters more than depth in any single discipline. A typical week may include building an internal campaign, advising a business leader, briefing an agency partner, and reporting on communications performance. This role partners closely with the Corporate Content Specialist, who leads content production and channel execution. This is a role with room to grow. The successful candidate will bring an independent point of view, advise and influence senior leaders, represent corporate communications in leadership forums, and provide leadership for the function when the Senior Manager is unavailable. This position handles sensitive information and must maintain confidentiality.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive execution of the global corporate communications strategy set by the Senior Manager, across internal and external channels and in alignment with enterprise priorities and corporate value drivers
  • Translate strategy into integrated communications plans, timelines, and deliverables across regions and business units
  • Contribute an independent point of view as the Senior Manager develops communications strategy, bringing recommendations, alternatives, and professional perspective
  • Represent corporate communications in meetings, business reviews, and cross-functional forums, including standing in for the Senior Manager as needed
  • Provide leadership and continuity for the function during absences and time-sensitive situations, escalating what genuinely requires senior input
  • Serve as backup for content development, editing, and distribution when volume, coverage, or urgency requires it
  • Plan and deliver internal communications across the enterprise, including corporate announcements, leadership messaging, and organizational updates, in line with the global communications strategy
  • Execute the employee engagement communications strategy, measuring results and recommending improvements based on performance data and employee feedback
  • Partner with HR on people-related communications, including organizational changes, policy, benefits, and culture initiatives
  • Manage internal communications campaigns and editorial calendars against the annual communications plan, partnering with the Corporate Content Specialist on production and distribution
  • Run and maintain the content workflows, approval routing, and review standards established by the Senior Manager, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate leadership review, and recommending improvements over time
  • Lead communications planning and materials development for company events, town halls, and leadership meetings
  • Serve as a day-to-day communications partner to business unit teams, functions, and regional stakeholders, translating their objectives into executable communications plans, while the Senior Manager leads ELT and executive-level relationships
  • Advise functional leaders on messaging, audience, channel selection, and timing for their initiatives
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and tracking of communications requests across the enterprise
  • Build communications capability across the business by equipping functional partners with the templates, messaging frameworks, and guidance established by the function
  • Escalate enterprise-level and executive-facing matters to the Senior Manager with a recommended approach
  • Maintain an enterprise-level view of Business Unit PR and external communications activity, including announcements, messaging, and timing across the portfolio
  • Advise Business Unit teams on corporate narrative alignment, brand voice, and messaging consistency in their external communications
  • Develop and execute corporate press releases, announcements, and media outreach as enterprise needs arise
  • Monitor enterprise-level reputation and emerging issues, surfacing risks with a recommended response
  • Help build corporate external communications, media relations, and thought leadership capability as enterprise priorities evolve
  • Maintain crisis communications readiness materials, including holding statements, escalation protocols, and response plans, under the direction of the Senior Manager
  • Execute crisis communications across internal and external audiences should an issue or incident arise, coordinating with the Senior Manager, leadership, and agency partners
  • Execute communications for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives as they occur, including employee messaging, manager cascades, and external announcements
  • Develop and execute change management communications plans against the change strategy set for enterprise initiatives
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with agency partners supporting PR, media relations, and content, including scope, briefing, deliverables, and performance
  • Own agency timelines, budget tracking, and performance review
  • Brief and partner with the Corporate Content Specialist on content requirements, messaging intent, timing, and channel priorities
  • Ensure a disciplined shift of tactical content development in-house where appropriate
  • Uphold corporate and IE brand voice and messaging standards across internal and external communications
  • Serve as a senior editorial reviewer for high-visibility and executive-level communications
  • Maintain and run the communications measurement framework across internal and external channels, recommending refinements to what is tracked and why
  • Partner with the Corporate Content Specialist on data gathering, reporting, and dashboard maintenance
  • Design and run message testing and audience feedback mechanisms to improve communications effectiveness
