Job summary

NBCUniversal offers a 12-month internship in Central London, working on internal communications and event support. The role is on-site four days per week, with exposure to news, campaigns and employee engagement activities.

You will gain hands-on experience in newsletter management, SharePoint updates, event planning and budgeting while using Adobe Suite and Canva. Aimed at those pursuing careers in media communications and corporate affairs.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal newsletter SnapShot and update SharePoint.
• Liaise with internal units for updates and share with employees.
• Update NBCUNow internal comms site.
• Coordinate with Comms teams to update digital screens.
• Assist with internal events and campaigns (e.g., screenings, parties).
• Create posters for events across digital screens and loo media.
• Create executive summaries for events and campaigns.
• Update project planners, budget trackers and stats.
• Support CSR and Inclusion projects within the team.
• Raise POs and maintain budget tracker after each project.

Programme Eligibility

To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:

1. You're currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2028
2. You're looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship

Additionally, you must also:

• Be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 5th July 2027 - Friday 21st July 2028
• Be able to work in NBCUniversal's Central London office on-site four days per week

What will I be doing?

• Managing the internal newsletter, SnapShot, and regularly updating the SharePoint site, staying up to date with the latest news, events and employee discounts
• Liaising with internal business units to gather the latest updates and communicating these with employees across our internal comms channels
• Updating the internal comms site, NBCUNow
• Liaising with Comms teams across NBCUniversal to update digital screen content
• Assisting on internal events and campaigns including employee screenings, Christmas Party, and Symphony moments
• Creating posters to promote upcoming events across digital screens and loo meda
• Creating executive summaries for each event and comms campaign
• Updating project planners, budget trackers and tracking stats to measure success
• Supporting the wider comms team on Corporate Social Responsibility and Inclusion projects
• Raising POs and keeping the budget tracker updated following each project and event

Qualifications

• Experience in using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word to a high standard
• Experience in using the Canva or the Adobe Suite is preferred but not essential, particularly Photoshop
• Exceptional eye for detail, design and proof-reading skills
• Collaborative approach to work well in a team and across businesses
