Job summary

• Currently enrolled full-time in ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (no rounding).
• Previous technical internship, co-op, or research experience.
• Current intern or trainee at Caterpillar.

Responsibilities

• Support Caterpillar product development through design & simulation tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to engineer components & systems for Caterpillar products.
• Develop/Implement control system algorithms using Matlab/Simulink.
• Design and test electronic control modules and components.
• Develop embedded software in C, C# and/or C++ for various electronic control modules.
• Verify functionality on a HIL simulator bench or a SIL system.
• Analyze and optimize engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Continuous employment for engineering/technology/computer science students focused on product development
• Work full-time in-person during the summer and part-time throughout the school year
• Complete design & simulation tasks in support of Caterpillar product development
• Collaborate with engineering teams to engineer components & systems for Caterpillar products

• Verify functionality on a HIL [Hardware in the Loop] simulator bench or a SIL [Software in the loop] system
• Analyze and optimize engineering processes

Requirements

• Must be enrolled full-time in a 4-year university/college pursuing an ABET accredited degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Agricultural or Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institution
• Management experience
• Previous technical internship, co-op, or research/relevant experience
• Current intern or trainee at Caterpillar
