Our training is delivered through engaging in‑person classroom sessions and via our industry‑leading online learning platform, all designed by experienced finance professionals.

Position Overview

As a Corporate Banking Instructor, you will design and deliver practical training for corporate banking professionals, from new‑joiner induction through advanced credit and relationship management programs. You will translate firsthand industry experience into engaging instruction on financial analysis, credit assessment, lending solutions, corporate client coverage, and long‑term relationship management.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a lead facilitator for corporate banking training programs

  • Help professionals strengthen the analytical, commercial, and advisory skills required to assess credit risk and serve corporate clients

  • Enhance your presentation and coaching skills, expand your professional network, and establish yourself as a thought leader in corporate banking education

The ideal candidate has direct experience as a corporate banker, corporate credit professional, or relationship manager and brings both practitioner credibility and a genuine passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver live in‑person and virtual training seminars to corporate banks and other financial institutions, covering topics such as:

    • Corporate banking business models, client coverage, and relationship management

    • Financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, and financial forecasting

    • Credit analysis, industry risk, and assessment of repayment capacity

    • Loan structuring, credit documentation, covenants, collateral, and guarantees

    • Working capital financing, revolving credit facilities, term loans, and syndicated lending

    • Treasury and cash management, trade finance, and foreign exchange and interest rate risk management solutions

    • Credit proposal writing, credit committee presentations, and ongoing portfolio monitoring

    • Client needs discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and relationship growth

  • Collaborate on curriculum development, including:

    • Designing workshop agendas, learning outcomes, case studies, financial models, and assessments

    • Editing and updating training materials to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with current industry practice

    • Developing blended learning materials for audiences ranging from new hires to experienced corporate bankers, credit professionals, and relationship managers

  • Coach participants through realistic credit and client scenarios and provide clear, actionable feedback

  • Integrate sound risk judgment, ethical conduct, and compliant banking practices throughout all instruction

  • Complete WSP's Train-the-Trainer Program, a structured professional development initiative for new instructors

What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Significant firsthand experience in corporate banking, corporate credit, lending, or corporate relationship management. A demonstrated record of assessing corporate borrowers, structuring financing solutions, or managing and growing corporate client relationships is strongly preferred.

  • Financial & Credit Analysis: Strong grounding in financial statement analysis, cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis, leverage, debt service capacity, and industry risk. Candidates should be able to translate financial analysis into practical credit decisions and financing recommendations.

  • Product Knowledge: Working knowledge of the corporate banking product suite, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, syndicated lending, trade finance, treasury and cash management, and foreign exchange and interest rate risk management solutions. Candidates should be able to connect these products to corporate clients’ financing and operating needs.

  • Lending & Risk Management: Practical understanding of loan structuring, covenants, collateral, guarantees, credit approval processes, and portfolio monitoring, including the identification of early warning signs and deteriorating credit quality.

  • Relationship Management: Strong grounding in corporate client coverage, consultative discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, cross‑selling, and collaboration with product specialists to deepen client relationships.

  • Teaching & Communication: Exceptional presentation, facilitation, storytelling, and coaching skills, with the ability to convert practitioner expertise into clear, engaging learning experiences.

  • Behavioral Skills: Comfort teaching sound judgment, effective questioning, stakeholder communication, negotiation, professional maturity, and executive presence alongside technical banking content.

  • Compliance Mindset: Familiarity with ethical conduct, client due diligence, and compliant banking practices in a regulated corporate banking environment.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or relevant professional designation is preferred but not required.

Availability
  • Part‑time, project‑based commitment with availability for multi‑day training engagements

  • Weekday availability is highly desirable, with flexibility based on client schedules

  • Ability to conduct week‑long or multi‑week seminars is highly desirable

  • Flexibility to deliver programs virtually and travel domestically or internationally for in‑person engagements

Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: Highly competitive daily rate

  • Benefits: All approved travel and accommodation expenses covered by WSP

  • Paid professional development through WSP's Train-the-Trainer Program

  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise in corporate banking, credit analysis, lending, and relationship management

  • Expand your professional network across leading financial institutions

  • Develop exceptional facilitation, coaching, public speaking, and presentation skills
