Job summary

GPAC (Growing People and Companies) seeks a Corporate Associate with 3-6 years of corporate and transactional experience to join our New York office. The role will work closely with partners, senior attorneys and clients across our New York and New Jersey offices.

The position involves a broad range of matters for domestic and international clients, with emphasis on middle market businesses across diverse industries. New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar is a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3-6 years of law firm experience in corporate and transactional matters.
• New York Bar admission required.
• New Jersey Bar admission a plus.
• Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and governance, financings, and commercial transactions.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, financing documents, commercial agreements, and other transactional documents.

• Collaborate with attorneys across the Firm's corporate, banking, bankruptcy, real estate, litigation, and other practice areas.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $225,000 to $250,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
