Corporate Associate | Austin, TX (hybrid) | $160,000 to $240,000 | Corporate and M&A

Austin companies raise money, buy each other and sell. Someone has to run those deals. This firm wants that person to be you, not the fourth name on a working group list.

The corporate team advises founders, growth companies and investors across Texas, from formation through to exit. Deal teams stay small on purpose, so associates speak to clients, lead the drafting and see how every deal actually gets done.

The deals

• Mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
• Venture capital and private equity financings
• Entity formation, governance and board advice
• Commercial contracts for fast growing companies
• Due diligence and closing management

What I'm looking for

• Admission to the State Bar of Texas
• 3 to 8 years of corporate or M&A experience
• A commercial mind. You think about what the client is trying to achieve, not just the clause in front of you

How the role scales

This is one search covering two levels. Mid level associates sit toward the lower end of the range. Senior associates who already run deals on their own sit near the top.
