Job summary

Upchurch is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead corporate accounting, ensure accurate reporting, and drive close processes. This role partners with Corporate Finance and operations, overseeing GL, reconciliations, and internal controls across multiple entities.

The position emphasizes process improvement, system integration (Sage Intacct, BuildOps), and strong leadership within a high-growth contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close.
• Experience leading accounting teams and managing multi-entity work.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and year-end close processes and journal entries.
• Review reconciliations, intercompany activity, and financial schedules.
• Coordinate internal controls and audit requests.
• Partner with finance leadership to improve processes and reporting.
• Support consolidation and financial analysis for multiple entities.
