Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Corporate Accounting Manager (Oil & Gas) in Houston, TX. This leadership role reports to the Controller's office and offers direct exposure to executives, ownership of month-end close, GAAP reporting, and mentoring a growing accounting team within a corporate setting.

You will drive process improvements, support audits and tax requests, manage reconciliations, and work with NetSuite ERP to optimize financial operations across upstream energy activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in Oil & Gas preferred.
• CPA preferred; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and ensure GAAP-based financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and key accounting areas.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Support audits, tax requests, and compliance requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Drive process improvements and NetSuite ERP enhancements.
