Job summary

The Intersect Group is assisting a large, publicly traded organization in Atlanta to recruit a Corporate Accounting Manager. This role provides broad exposure across the controllership function and partners with Treasury, FP&A, and senior finance leaders.

You will lead a small team (1 direct report), own the global lease accounting process (ASC 842), oversee stock-based compensation, and ensure U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance while supporting product liability reserves and other corporate

Qualifications

• Experience with leases (ASC 842) and stock-based compensation.
• Public accounting background strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior people leadership experience.
• Experience with SOX and IT/software accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team (manage 1 direct report).
• Own the global lease accounting process (ASC 842), including controls and compliance.
• Oversee stock-based compensation accounting processes.
• Manage restructuring accounting activities, including control testing and footnote disclosures.
• Review accounting for internally developed software and other IT/accounting transactions.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements for assigned areas.
• Support analysis and reporting for product liability reserves, including coordination with actuarial partners.
• Contribute to broader corporate accounting and controllership initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Compensation: up to 135k + 10% bonus

A large, publicly traded organization is hiring a Corporate Accounting Manager to join a lean, high-visibility corporate accounting team during an exciting transformation period. This role offers broad exposure across the controllership function with strong partnership across Treasury, FP&A, and senior finance leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop a small team (manage 1 direct report)
• Own the global lease accounting process (ASC 842), including controls and compliance
• Oversee stock-based compensation accounting processes
• Manage restructuring accounting activities, including control testing and footnote disclosures
• Review accounting for internally developed software and other IT/accounting transactions
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements for assigned areas
• Support analysis and reporting for product liability reserves, including coordination with actuarial partners
• Contribute to broader corporate accounting and controllership initiatives in a collaborative environment

What We’re Looking For

• Progressive corporate accounting experience
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting background strongly preferred
• Prior people leadership experience
• Experience with some combination of: leases (ASC 842), equity/stock comp, SOX, IT/software accounting
• Leadership mindset with long-term aspiration to grow into a broader finance leader (5–10 year trajectory)
