Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. invites you to join its Summer Corporate Accounting Internship, a 10-week program designed to apply classroom knowledge to real-world corporate accounting and financial reporting activities.

You will work alongside seasoned professionals in accounting and finance, contributing to financial reporting, fixed assets, reconciliations, and internal controls while developing skills in analysis, process improvement, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum GPA 3.25 preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Follow safety, ethical, and compliance standards in all work activities.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting activities, including capital project setup and capitalization tracking.
• Support the preparation of financial schedules and supporting documentation for quarterly and annual reporting (including SEC filings).
• Prepare account reconciliations and assist in timely review and resolution of reconciling items.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and financial reporting processes.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and responding to information requests.
• Participate in data analysis to identify trends and improve reporting effectiveness.
• Assist with automation initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Gain experience with financial systems and data extraction tools.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, FP&A, and operational finance teams.
• Develop reports, presentations, and analyses to support management decision-making.
