Job summary

H MART Headquarters is seeking a responsible Accountant in Lyndhurst, NJ to manage general ledger closings, inventory analysis, budgeting, and audit support. The role requires GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills with SAP experience.

Collaboration with stores, distribution centers, and corporate finance is essential. Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience; retail/grocery sector is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger maintenance including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reconciliations.
• Inventory analysis and reconciliation with store managers and DCs to monitor COGS and shrink.
• Budgeting and variance analysis with monthly reporting to compare actuals to budgets/forecasts.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare schedules and documentation.
