GISI Corporate in New York City is seeking a dynamic Corporate Accounting - Assistant Manager to lead monthly close, consolidation, and financial reporting under US GAAP.

You will drive internal controls, support external audits, manage cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Treasury, and Tax, and advance accounting initiatives.

CPA and Big 4 experience required; 4–5 years in accounting, ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle), and strong Excel skills expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is required
• 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience – prior Big 4 experience is required (preferably 2-3 years of Big Four audit experience and 2+ years of exposure to public company reporting)
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, and Oracle) required
• Proven ability to manage close cycles and meet tight deadlines
• Deep technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general proficiency with Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Perform the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the corporate (HoldCo) books, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Own the general ledger and trial balance, ensuring all entries are complete, accurate, and properly supported
• Perform the consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, including integration of new businesses
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements including Balance Sheet and Statements of Income, Equity Comprehensive Income, and Cash Flows
• Oversee and respond to auditor requests
• Prepare footnotes to financial statements and support other external and internal reporting requirements
• Support the accounts payable process and ensure proper accounting treatment
• Support the corporate planning and forecasting processes
• Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance with accounting policies
• Perform GAAP research and apply relevant standards (e.g., ASC 606, 842, etc.)
• Contribute to accounting-related projects and system enhancements
• Build and generate ad hoc reports using consolidation/accounting systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial planning, integration, and analysis
• Assist in the development and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures
• Be involved in process improvement and automation around financial reporting process
