LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant in Escanaba, Michigan to join a growing finance team. You will contribute to the monthly close, financial reporting, and reconciliations while maintaining accurate records.

Reporting to the Controller, you will prepare journal entries, support budgets and forecasting, and assist with audits. This hybrid role offers career growth in a privately held company that values balance and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification or CPA-track encouraged.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules for management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Assist with cash management and treasury-related activities.
• Coordinate with operational departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Assist with preparing year-end workpapers and tax support documentation.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiencies.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned by the Controller.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant to join our growing finance team in Escanaba, Michigan. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Corporate Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA certification or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environments.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
