Job summary

University Partners is seeking a Corporate Accountant to apply accounting expertise across multiple entities and strengthen treasury and compliance processes on our growing team in Downtown Dallas.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of corporate-level accrual accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Entrata, MRI, or Yardi. This on-site role supports property management entities and drives efficiencies across financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–4 years of corporate-level accrual accounting experience.
• Experience in Treasury & Accounts Payable functions.
• Real estate investment/management company experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Entrata, MRI, and/or Yardi accounting software preferred.
• Candidate should be coachable, enthusiastic, creative and detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting including accounts payable review, journal entries, monthly accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounting for multiple property management company entities.
• Oversee fixed asset schedules and compute monthly depreciation.
• Reconcile expense reimbursements with property liabilities.
• Review Property Management Agreements and oversee treasury efforts with multiple banking partners.
• Support vendor management processes and cash flow controls.
• Record payroll journal entries for corporate and property-level transactions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.

Job Purpose

Assist the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Compliance with accounting execution of corporate financial information and compliance and treasury efforts in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will be expected to exhibit creative and flexible skills, working in a growing environment.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Perform full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable review, journal entries, monthly accruals/amortizations, and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for accounting for multiple property management company corporate entities
• Manage Fixed Asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation
• Reconcile expense reimbursement transactions via corporate receivables with property liabilities
• Review Property Management Agreements
• Spearhead corporate fee revenue collection effortsAssist with Treasury efforts, including bank account openings/closings and monitoring fraud prevention tools, with multiple banking partners
• Activate accounts within vendor management processes
• Manage credit card transaction review, policy compliance, and journal entry posting
• Record journal entries for corporate and property-level payroll transactions
• Identify areas for process improvement and help increase efficiencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of prior corporate-level accrual basis accounting
• Prior experience working in Treasury & Accounts Payable functions
• Real estate investment/management company experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel application
• Experience with Entrata, MRI, and/or Yardi accounting software preferred
• Candidate needs to be coachable, enthusiastic, creative, flexible, display strong technical aptitude, detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
