Coca-Cola UNITED in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Corporate Manager – Accounting to provide accurate financial information and lead accounting for multiple locations. The role delivers financial analysis and supports targets with strong controls and collaboration across teams.

You will guide month-end closes, maintain GAAP compliance, supervise staff, and drive process improvements using SAP S4 and Blackline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3-5 years of related experience.
• CPA preferred and GAAP knowledge required.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with UNITED policies and applicable laws.
• Interview, hire, and train associates.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance.
• Address complaints and resolve problems; build morale.
• Ensure financial controls are followed; perform month-end close.

Job Description

The Corporate Manager – Accounting is responsible for providing the company with accurate financial information and providing financial analysis and suggestions to help the Company achieve financial targets. The Corporate Manager - Accounting will be responsible for accounting for multiple locations.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws


• Interview, hire, and train associates


• Plan, assign, and direct work


• Appraise performance


• Address complaints and resolve problems


• Builds positive associate morale


• Ensure financial controls are followed


• Prepare month end financial close out and monthly reconciliations


• Ensure necessary journal entries are posted in a timely manner


• Complete assigned balance sheet reconciliations


• Monitor financial postings for accuracy


• Participate in projects related to updates, modifications, or enhancements to financial systems – SAP S4 and Blackline


• Review internal controls and provide input for potential changes to standard operating procedures


• Stand in as the liaison between USD and the business in areas related to general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets


• Provide financial analysis and information as needed

What You Need To Succeed

• Minimum age 18 years old


• Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy


• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies


• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job


• Ability to read, write and speak English


• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines


• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets


• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology


• Strong leadership and organizational skills


• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university in Accounting; 3-5 years related experience and/or training;


• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required


• CPA (Certified Putblic Accountant) preferred


• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


• SAP or ERP system experience preferred


• Blackline experience preferred


• Effective written communication skills


• Ability to analyze and problem solve

• Repeated typing/keyboarding


• Ability to travel to other sales centers within the division as needed

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.
