AmeriCorps State / National program in Idaho is seeking a Coroner Aide to support the Bonneville County Coroner's office. Through the Gem State Public Health program, members will conduct needs assessments regarding collaborations and partnerships, and recruit potential partnerships as well as coordinate meetings, design training materials, and provide other support to public health agencies. Members will be trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Sources of Strength (SOS), and/or safeTALK. Members will coordinate ASIST, SOS and/or safeTALK trainings for community members to increase the number of suicide prevention interventionists throughout Idaho. The program will offer members academic advising and the opportunity to explore degree options that focus on public health.
The Coroner Aide will expand and enhance the capacity of existing public health programs and services of the Bonneville County Coroner by Helping grieving families receive proper resources including suicide prevention resources, and extending emotional and mental health support services, while modeling recovery and coping skills needed for resiliency.
