Job summary

Unifeye Vision Partners in Bloomington, MN seeks a skilled Cornea Surgeon to diagnose and treat corneal diseases and perform corneal transplants and refractive procedures. This role requires an MD or DO with board certification or eligibility, Minnesota license, and fellowship in Cornea preferred.

You will work with a multidisciplinary ophthalmology team to deliver high-quality patient care, manage pre- and post-operative care, and stay abreast of advances in corneal surgery while educating

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease preferred.
  • Valid Minnesota medical license to practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and diagnose corneal and external eye diseases.
  • Conduct corneal surgeries such as penetrating keratoplasty and lamellar keratoplasty.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for corneal surgery patients.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmology team and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
  • Stay current with advancements in corneal surgery techniques and technologies.
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, options, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cornea Surgeon to join our medical team in Bloomington, MN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating corneal diseases and performing corneal surgeries, including corneal transplants and refractive procedures. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnosis of corneal and external eye diseases.
  • Conduct corneal surgeries such as penetrating keratoplasty, lamellar keratoplasty, and other advanced corneal procedures.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing corneal surgery.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmology team members and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Stay current with advancements in corneal surgery techniques and technologies.
  • Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment options, and surgical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota.
  • Proven experience performing corneal surgeries and managing complex corneal conditions.
