Job summary

Huali Floors in Chatsworth, GA is hiring a Material Handler for the Cork Department. This 12-hour night shift (7 PM – 7 AM) on weekdays and some Saturdays offers opportunities to learn across the cork line and support operations.

You will operate a lift truck, stock lines, move products with scanners, inspect for defects, and assist the Operator 2. Benefits start on day one, including major medical, 401k with match, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in Basic English.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must pass the eye exam.
• Must have at least 1 year of lift truck experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to mount & dismount the lift truck repeatedly.
• Must be able to perform basic computer functions.
• Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate lift truck 90% of the time when working at the end of the line.
• Keep designated lines stocked with all material needs.
• Move products from various areas within the plant using scanners and systems.
• When working in the gantry area, check for defects.
• Place a cork sheet on the slab without creating off-quality.
• Assist Operator 2 when needed.
• Remove and replace scrap bins.
• Manually load or unload materials.
• Replace the gas tank on the lift truck as needed.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Follow all safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

All Material Handlers must cross-train and become experts in all positions of the cork line machine.

These positions are 12-hour M-F Night shift, 7 PM – 7 AM and some Saturdays.
