Job summary

Boart Longyear is seeking a Coring Driller Assistant to support drilling crews with semi-skilled tasks and to learn on the job. You will help with rigging, hauling, mixing drilling fluids, and labeling samples, while advancing through a defined growth path.

Expect 12-hour shifts, 14–20 days on/7–10 days off, with paid training, safety certifications, and opportunities for overtime, per diem, and bonuses as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year drilling or related construction/mechanical experience.
• Willing to travel to sites across multiple states.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts for 14–20 days.
• Must pass background and drug screening; physical fitness evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Support drilling crews with semi-skilled labor.
• Assist in rigging up/down and moving to sites.
• Haul supplies and perform manual material handling.
• Mix drilling fluids and prepare rods to drill string.
• Inspect equipment and maintain site safety inductions.
• Maintain parts inventory and aid in maintenance.
