Job description

Starkey Hearing is adding a Core Technician - Standard Repair to our Eden Prairie, MN manufacturing team. If you enjoy detailed work involving analyzing, recording, and tracking customer complaints using a computer and ten key, this may be your next career move. Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Job Responsibilities

1. Navigate to applicable Job Method
2. Verify barcode, serial numbers, and device information in CQM
3. Read and interpret repair forms
4. Perform visual inspections and verify codes
5. Conduct listen checks
6. Enter and amend data in order system
7. Scan and process AP shells and repair forms
8. Transfer and process aids/chargers as needed
9. Record daily output and dispose of paperwork properly
10. Communicate quality issues to the appropriate personnel
11. Flex into other Core Tech positions as needed
12. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Education, Certification, and Experience

• Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions
• Certification standards are based on job knowledge, quality, and output

Knowledge/Technical Requirements

• Knowledge of ear parts and hearing aids required
• Proficiency with Starkey's computer systems required

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Good hearing ability to test sound quality

Work Environment

• PPE encouraged but not required when using machinery
• Potential exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals
• Primarily sitting (95% of workday)
• Regular attendance and responsiveness required
• Typing 10-key into systems frequently

Compensation and Benefits

Target salary range: $17.03 to $23.22/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
