Job summary

Alford Drilling, LLC is seeking a core helper to support drilling operations by assisting the Driller and crew with core extraction, handling, site maintenance, and equipment support. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and organization on the jobsite.

Based in Elko, NV, the position requires a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of related experience, and the ability to pass drug screening and background checks. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and committed to safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years directly related drilling experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Sufficient language skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driller and drilling crew with core extraction, handling, and site maintenance.
• Operate or assist with non-drilling equipment as needed (light/heavy vehicles, telehandlers, forklift).
• Maintain accurate shift reports and inventory logs.
• Support drilling operations by handling rods and tools and collecting samples.
• Ensure housekeeping and safety practices are followed on site.
