The Richmond Symphony is inviting applications for the Core Section Violin position. This role involves performing in the orchestra, which consists of 69 members, and may include engagements in public schools, community events, and donor functions. The position is expected to commence as soon as possible after an offer is made during the 2026-2027 season. The salary for the 2025-2026 season is set at $42,276.13, with the 2026-2027 salary contingent upon negotiations. Auditions will take place on November 3-4, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia. Interested candidates must register through the Audition Application to secure an audition time, with no deposit required. The application deadline is October 6, 2026. Candidates should arrive about an hour before their scheduled audition time and will receive the repertoire list upon check-in. All rounds of the audition will be screened, and candidates are encouraged to bring their own music.
