Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Tooele, UT is hiring a Materials Associate who moves, inspects, and delivers core components and completes daily paperwork. You will perform cycle counts, document parts, and prepare materials for shipment, joining a team committed to safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain forklift and fall-protection certifications.

• Experience with core identification and strong product knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and memory skills.

Responsibilities

• Move, sort, inspect, and deliver materials as directed following prescribed practices or instructions.
• Conduct cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy across storage locations.
• Identify and document Detroit Diesel core components and prepare them for shipment.
• Complete daily paperwork and maintain updates on production boards.
• Perform 5S audits and daily checklists; contribute to process improvements.
• Report safety concerns and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Be flexible to move between areas and work overtime as needed.
• Participate in team huddles and alignment activities.
