Wide Open West is seeking a Principal Engineer for Core Network to lead the architecture and technical vision of our global network infrastructure. This role is pivotal in advancing next-generation networking technologies, including Segment Routing, while leveraging extensive expertise in OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and MPLS.

In this hybrid position, you’ll not only shape network strategy but also ensure performance stability across enterprise environments, mentor engineering teams, and drive automation

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale network engineering and architecture.
• Expert in Link State routing protocols: OSPF, ISIS, BGP.
• Advanced knowledge of MPLS, including L2/L3 VPNs and multicast.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale high-availability service provider networks.
• Optimize core routing protocols to improve network stability.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers to enhance technical expertise.
