Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry is seeking a Laempe Machine Operator for the 2nd shift, starting at 1:30pm. Train on the 1st shift for 2–4 weeks.

You will set up and operate the Laempe core making machine to produce sand cores, load sand and resins, and inspect cores for defects in a hot, dusty foundry environment. Requires 2+ years in a foundry or machine operator role, with core making preferred; ability to follow detailed instructions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Machine Operator/Foundry experience, core making preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow specific work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, runs and monitors Laempe core making machine to make sand cores.
• Stage production supplies, load sand and resin mixtures.
• Inspect core for visual defects, cracks, etc.
• Clear sand buildup, perform basic daily machine upkeep.
• Perform other duties as required.
