Texas Oncology is seeking a Core Laboratory Manager to support our Memorial City location in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

The Core Laboratory Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing multiple laboratory facilities, ensuring efficient operations and timely, accurate patient results.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
  • Developing and monitoring testing procedures, quality assurance, and quality control programs.
  • Supervising laboratory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintaining laboratory certifications, licensing, and safety protocols.
  • Managing laboratory supplies, equipment, budgeting, and cost analysis.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines and participating in strategic planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of laboratory testing experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent required.
  • Current state licensure as applicable.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires physical ability to operate complex laboratory equipment, including manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
