Job summary

Seattle Children's in Seattle, WA is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform moderate to high complexity tests in an assigned department, delivering rapid and accurate results to physicians.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a lab science, eligibility for national certification, and obtaining certification within six months of hire. State certifications are acceptable; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for certification by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education or NCHCA (ASCP, NCA or AMT common).
• State certifications are acceptable; must obtain certification within six months of hire.
• Diploma/transcript needed on record with HR for CAP/CMS high-complexity testing.
• Records for foreign-trained personnel require equivalency evaluation by a recognized credentialing agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory tests.
• Provide physicians with rapid and accurate laboratory test results.
