Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University is seeking a RCMI Research Capacity Laboratory Manager to lead the RCC core laboratory operations for brain health and cardiometabolic research. The role involves technical oversight, safety, and administrative management to support NIH-funded activities.

The candidate will coordinate instrument access, training, records, and SOPs, while collaborating with center leadership and community partners to advance the Center's mission and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of progressive experience in research laboratory operations or core facilities.
• Experience with NIH/regulated research environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational, technical, safety, quality, training and administrative management of the RCC core lab.
• Ensure instruments, lab space, supplies, user access, records and SOPs are maintained for compliant operations.
• Support brain-health and cardiometabolic disease disparities research by coordinating sample handling, instrumentation, and data workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership, investigators and community partners to advance NIH-funded research goals.
• Ensure compliance with NIH, university and regulatory requirements.
