Job summary

Franz Family Bakery in the Pacific Northwest seeks an experienced IT leader to oversee Core IT Infrastructure. You will provide daily leadership to infrastructure teams, coordinate across networking, cloud and modern workplace services, and monitor service health to ensure stability.

The role emphasizes incident response, change management, documentation and continuous improvement of operational processes. A IT degree and experience in manufacturing or distribution are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
• ERP implementations or major systems upgrades preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps)
• Knowledge of DevOps or release management practices.
• Experience supporting data warehouse or reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to Core IT Infrastructure personnel.
• Coordinate across networking systems, cloud, and modern workplace services.
• Monitor service health, performance, and stability.
• Make routine operational decisions related to incident response, workload prioritization, and service restoration.
• Work with Infrastructure Manager to execute departmental priorities.
• Lead technical response during incidents.
• Manage escalations and ensure resolution.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Coordinate infrastructure change planning, scheduling, implementation, and validation activities.
• Ensure changes are documented, tested, and communicated.
• Evaluate operational risk, dependencies, and support requirements for planned changes.
• Maintain readiness for system upgrades and deployments.
• Establish and enforce standards, documentation and change control.
• Lead continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability and service stability.
• Provide coaching and mentoring; conduct performance management.
• Foster collaboration and skill development.
• Establish and drive documentation standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Provide daily leadership and direction to Core IT Infrastructure personnel
• Coordinate across networking systems, cloud, and modern workplace services
• Monitor service health, performance, and stability
• Makes routine operational decisions related to incident response, workload prioritization, and service restoration, escalating higher-risk or strategic decisions as appropriate
• Works closely with the Infrastructure Manager to execute departmental priorities, projects, and operational initiatives

Incident & Problem Management

• Lead technical response during incidents
• Manage escalations and ensure resolution
• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement in Core infrastructure processes/procedures

Change Management & Operational Readiness

• Coordinate infrastructure change planning, scheduling, implementation, and validation activities.
• Ensure all core infrastructure changes are properly assessed, documented, tested, and communicated.
• Evaluate operational risk, dependencies, and support requirements for planned changes.
• Maintain team readiness for system upgrades, deployments, and major business initiatives.
• Establish and enforce operational standards, documentation, and change control procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, and service stability.
• Provide coaching and mentoring
• Conduct performance management and development planning
• Foster collaboration and skill development

Documentation & Standards

• Establish process and standards?

Preferred Education/Experience

• Degree in Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience.
