UPMC Washington is a top-rated regional hospital located in scenic southwestern Pennsylvania, approximately 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. Established in 1971, we are proud to offer one of the first Family Medicine Residency Programs in the state. Our unopposed, 7-7-7 program has a longstanding reputation for graduating well-trained family physicians. The program benefits from strong specialist support, and our community hospital provides nearly all service lines found in large academic institutions.

We invite dynamic family medicine physicians to join our faculty and continue our tradition of excellence. We seek a Board-certified Family Medicine physician for a full-time Core Faculty position. The role involves providing comprehensive Family Medicine care, including outpatient services (pediatrics, geriatrics, women's health), and inpatient rounding at UPMC Washington Hospital. The ideal candidate will have broad clinical skills and a passion for teaching residents and medical students. Responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching, role modeling, mentoring, faculty advising, collaboration, and didactic teaching.

Our program offers excellent clinical and educational training to residents and provides high-quality care to patients across three office locations: Canonsburg, Cecil, and Washington. These Family Medicine Centers are staffed by board-certified physicians and residents committed to comprehensive family care. Our multidisciplinary team includes a psychiatrist and social worker, working closely with physicians to deliver integrated care.

Position Details

• Family Medicine or Med-Peds MD or DO (Board-Certified or Board-Eligible). No OB required.
• Full-time, hospital-employed position.
• Call: approximately 3 times/month (phone call only), weekend rounding every 6-8 weeks.
• Competitive salary and benefits, including a generous CME allowance and affiliation with several medical schools.
• Full malpractice coverage with tail.
• Program covers professional memberships (e.g., AAFP, PAFP) and license fees (DEA, etc.).
