Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Experiences Team to build foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify across platforms. You will design reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance the user experience.

The role emphasizes end-to-end design, speed, and collaboration with designers, marketers, and PMs in a high-growth remote environment. Proficiency with Kotlin Multiplatform and GCP is valued.

Qualifications

• Must think in end-to-end systems and value simplicity.
• Move quickly to generate options and decide what can ship now.
• Work well in a fast-growing, remote team environment.
• Inspire and negotiate with designers, PMs, and marketers.
• Proficiency with Kotlin Multiplatform is preferred; Java experience OK.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product teams to scope projects and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions.
• Design efficient abstractions to improve load times and parsing accuracy.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
