This position teaches the CEJA Core Competencies to a new cohort each month, delivering 100 hours of essential employability skills, essential workplace skills and clean energy basics, including OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR/AED, plus 10 hours of career exploration with employers.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience teaching or training adults in workforce readiness or related fields.
• OSHA-authorized Construction outreach trainer or completion of trainer course within three months of hire and First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification.
• Department authorization and equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility training before working with participants.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Core Competencies modules through hands-on, scenario-based activities in clean energy workplaces.
• Teach OSHA 10-Hour Construction and First Aid/CPR/AED, and complete required credential records.
• Teach digital skills in the computer lab and basic tool use and foundational electricity in the training lab.
• Assess participants during and after training, recording attendance and results.
• Identify participants who are struggling, re-teach and re-assess components, and notify the case manager.
• Host employer panels, job site visits and mock interviews with business engagement staff.
• Create an inclusive classroom that builds on participants' existing knowledge and strengths.
