Job summary

Plata Card is seeking a proactive Business Systems Analyst to bridge business and technical teams within our Core Banking Systems. You will define and document the logic for financial transaction processing and accounting, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business goals.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams, translate requirements into technical specs, and support audits through detailed data extracts. A finance/fintech background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in analytical or support roles within finance, fintech, or banking sectors.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles as they apply to financial transactions in software systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements for financial transaction processing into clear specifications.
• Design and document end-to-end logic for financial transaction processing and accounting systems.
• Collaborate with software engineering and QA to break down tasks and ensure implementation and testing of new features.
• Maintain data integrity through regular reconciliation and use SQL to identify discrepancies.
• Support financial audits by preparing and delivering accurate data extracts.
