Job summary

Our Community Credit Union is seeking a Core Automation Specialist to automate and optimize systems across the credit union. You will design automations, write scripts, and build integrations using APIs to reduce manual work and improve accuracy and efficiency.

The role focuses on administering the core systems, collaborating with departments, and delivering reliable, scalable automation solutions that support both employees and members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional software development, systems administration, or automation engineering background.
• Experience developing with REST and/or SOAP APIs.
• Strong scripting skills in JavaScript or Python; SQL and databases knowledge.
• Experience with JSON and XML; good problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and support automations to improve business processes.
• Develop scripts and integrations using APIs and scripting languages to reduce manual work.
• Administer and support core financial systems and related apps for reliability.
• Serve as a technical consultant to improve workflows through automation and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to implement new functionality and maintain integrations.
• Perform upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance with a focus on security.
• Document processes and automation solutions for easy understanding and maintenance.
• Manage multiple projects and respond to changing business needs; participate in after-hours maintenance.
