Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp. is hiring for a Core Assembler 2nd shift in Bloomington, MN. The role involves organizing components, cleaning parts, and assembling cores per tight tolerances. You will maintain a clean workspace and follow safety guidelines, with ITAR compliance required.

CPP offers competitive hourly pay of about $23–$24 with a 5% annual bonus, plus educational assistance and a 401(k) company match. PTO and holidays are provided as well.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a precision focused, complex assembly or hands on position.

Responsibilities

• Organizes copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., necessary to complete assigned assembly jobs and checks all available documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.).
• Before performing assembly, cleans pipe parts and surfaces, using hand tools and removes excess sand with air hose.
• Performs assembly operations according to established close dimensional requirements using necessary fixtures.
• Inspects all components and materials, scraps damaged items to minimize rework and delays.
• Form and assemble cores around patterns and position in mold using hand tools and glue.
• Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures including ITAR compliance.
• Ability to work at the Bloomington facility and participate in special projects as assigned.

What will you do?

• Organizes copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., necessary to complete assigned assembly jobs and checks all available documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.) which is available.
• Prior to performing assembly operations, cleans pipe parts, etc., using hand tools as well as clean up all rough surfaces with mud, paste, etc., and blows with air hose to remove excess sand
• Performs assembly operations according to established close dimensional requirements using necessary fixtures.
• Inspects all copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., prior to cleaning and assembling and scraps materials which are damaged or unusable to minimize production delay and rework.
• Form and assemble cores around patterns and position in mold using hand tools and glue.
• Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Ability to work at the Bloomington facility
• Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
• Level of Assembler is based on completed quality training of complex molds
