Job summary

Hilton seeks a talented contract copywriter to join its marketing team, focusing on credit card acquisition and loyalty campaigns. You will partner with Creative and cross-functional teams to craft compelling copy across banners, emails, social content, and large-scale branding initiatives.

The role is hybrid at the McLean, VA corporate office, with onsite presence required 2 days/week. The contract position emphasizes storytelling, fast-paced collaboration, and the ability to drive results for

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience, including copywriting and copyediting.
• Creative agency experience is preferred.
• Financial services experience is preferred.
• Hospitality or consumer brands experience is preferred.
• A strong interest in popular culture, emerging trends, and evolving styles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the Creative Director and Senior Designers.
• Write clear, persuasive, and original copy through the various iterations of each project.
• Present creative ideas and provide a clear business rationale to internal stakeholders for approval and development.
• Evolve, revise, or redevelop advertisements and campaigns in response to feedback from the Creative Director and internal stakeholders.
• Use campaign performance data to evaluate effectiveness and apply key learnings to future campaigns.
• Work closely with the Creative Director, Senior Designers, copywriters, and marketing team to develop integrated creative solutions.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions, incorporating feedback while protecting the strategic and creative intent of the work.
• Deliver creative concepts, messaging platforms, headlines, slogans, and body copy for omnichannel campaigns.
• Produce copy for banner ads, emails, social content, branding initiatives, internal communications, and large-scale campaigns.
• Write scripts and other long- or short-form copy as needed, refined through stakeholder feedback and campaign performance insights.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to inspire and sell creative rationale to senior management and cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of professional work experience, including copywriting and copyediting experience.
