Job description

We’re leading the way in redefining the workwear category. Our mission is to engineer better boots and apparel for our country’s tradesmen and women by working directly with real workers to learn what they actually need to execute their jobs.

The BRUNT team is not only devoted to improving on the old workwear standards, but we’re also creating a community that tradesmen and women can call their own. From our weekly hangouts at the BRUNT Garage, to hosting events across the country, we’re all about getting boots on the ground and building something real with the BRUNT crew.

How You’ll Do:

We are looking for a sharp, forward-thinking Copywriter to help bring our brand to life across every touchpoint. This role is for a versatile storyteller who pairs an authentic, ground-level understanding of trade workers with cutting-edge AI proficiency moving seamlessly between big campaign concepts, website copy, and lifecycle email marketing to craft messaging that truly resonates with skilled tradespeople.

Working closely with our creative team, you will be a key partner in shaping and evolving our brand voice across every channel. You’ll own projects from brief to execution, leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate research, streamline first drafts, and scale high-volume storytelling without sacrificing authenticity. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative thinker and tech-forward operator who combines AI efficiency with human intuition to develop the big idea, refine the tone, and make sure every detail lands with the trades.

What You’ll Do It:
  • Learn and apply BRUNT's brand voice style across touchpoints to maintain a consistent brand tone.
  • Uphold existing messaging frameworks for automated email sequences (welcome, abandoned cart, win-back) and site UX journeys.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with creative teams and video producers to co-concept campaign ideas, scripts, and launch messaging.
Design Execution
  • Tailor clear copy and UX messaging to fit visual layouts across homepage modules, promotional landing pages, and product detail pages (PDPs).
  • Build and refine custom AI prompts, brand-trained LLM context windows, and creative workflows to accelerate copy iteration and streamline research.
  • Co-concept big-picture brand campaigns, taglines, video scripts, and long-form narrative frameworks before creative asset generation.
Production
  • Write clear, compelling copy for daily broadcast emails, automated sequence triggers, product descriptions, and promotional site assets.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience in DTC e-commerce, ideally within workwear, apparel, or performance gear brands.
  • Hands-on mastery of generative AI tools and prompt engineering frameworks to accelerate research, concepting, and copy iteration while strictly preserving brand voice.
  • Proven ability to translate complex specs (waterproofing, composite toes, anti-fatigue tech) into clear, job-site-ready benefits that resonate with tradespeople.
  • Deep expertise crafting high-converting copy across web UX, product detail pages (PDPs), and automated email sequences (welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back).
  • A portfolio showcasing full-funnel versatility from big-picture brand taglines and video scripts to high-converting web and email assets.

Form CC-305 Page 1 of 1 OMB Control Number 1250-0005 Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

How do you know if you have a disability?

A disability is a condition that substantially limits one or more of your “major life activities.” If you have or have ever had such a condition, you are a person with a disability. Disabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Alcohol or other substance use disorder (not currently using drugs illegally)

  • Blind or low vision
  • Cancer (past or present)

  • Epilepsy or other seizure disorder
  • Gastrointestinal disorders, for example, Crohn's Disease, irritable bowel syndrome
  • Intellectual or developmental disability
  • Mental health conditions, for example, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD
  • Missing limbs or partially missing limbs
  • Mobility impairment, benefiting from the use of a wheelchair, scooter, walker, leg brace(s) and/or other supports
  • Nervous system condition, for example, migraine headaches, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Neurodivergence, for example, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, dyspraxia, other learning disabilities
  • Partial or complete paralysis (any cause)
  • Pulmonary or respiratory conditions, for example, tuberculosis, asthma, emphysema
  • Short stature (dwarfism)
