Job summary

Kaplan is seeking a Copywriter to conceptualize and execute marketing copy across print, web, email, digital, video, and social media.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in Journalism/Marketing/Communications, and a track record in branding and multi-channel campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Study products and services to understand key selling features that promote the brand.
  • Manage work and communicate project status in team meetings and project management software.

The Copywriter conceptualizes and executes marketing materials and promotional copy for all marketing channels, including print, web, email, digital, video, and social media. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Writes and edits a broad range of strategic and engaging copy, including emails, print and digital ads, brochures, web content, posters, sales tools, video scripts, articles and event materials
  • Collaborates with art directors, designers, and other writers to develop creative concepts that meet marketing objectives and brand requirements
  • Studies products and services to understand key selling features that promote the brand
  • Manages work and communicates about project status in team meetings and project management software
  • Participates and contributes to brainstorming sessions
  • Interacts with stakeholders to discuss their needs and objectives, and helps solve creative challenges
  • Presents concepts to internal team in an engaging and effective way
  • Utilizes a library of reference materials to ensure accuracy of all claims
  • Organizes workload and exercises efficient time management to meet multiple deadlines on time
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Ability to execute for all media platforms
  • Excellent written communication, editing and proofreading skills
  • Conceptual thinker with a diverse writing and creative style
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of branding and product marketing
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Commanding presentations skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, resourceful and proactive, with an ability to meet deadlines with changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Asana project management system a plus

For full-time positions, Kaplan has three salary grades. This position is Salary Grade A: $31,200 to $78,647. The specific compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and market data.
