A leading board game and toy company is seeking a freelance Brand Copywriter to help bring a new children’s toy line to life through strategic, engaging, and brand-right copy. This is a remote, project-based opportunity ideal for freelancers who are comfortable with variable hours depending on weekly workload (ranging from 2 to 20 hours per week). The project will begin as soon as the selected candidate is available.

We're looking for someone with a strong consumer packaged goods (CPG) background who can confidently write across multiple touchpoints—packaging, eCommerce, marketing, and social media. Experience in the children’s market or toy industry is a plus, but not required.

Hourly Rate: $40 – $50/hour (commensurate on experience)

Type: Project Based - Remote (MUST be ok working PST hours)

• Packaging Copywriting – Craft engaging, concise, and informative copy for toy packaging across 4 SKUs in a new product line.
• eCommerce Copy – Write detailed, benefit-focused product descriptions optimized for online merchandising and retail platforms.
• Marketing Copy – Create compelling copy for advertising assets, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns.
• Social Media Copy – Draft creative and brand-aligned captions and content for social media assets.

Qualifications include:

• 3+ years of copywriting experience within a consumer-facing brand, agency, or CPG environment.
• Proven ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences—especially children and parents.
• Versatile writer who can move between playful, marketing-driven language and informative product content.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in a flexible, freelance structure with shifting weekly demands.
