Job summary

Clutch Creative is seeking a conceptually sharp, medically fluent Freelance Copy Supervisors and ACD level Copywriters for a premier health and wellness advertising client. You will master complex scientific data and craft compliant messaging for HCPs and/or Patients/DTC.

Responsibilities include leading ideation and writing for promotional materials, translating data into persuasive narratives, and navigating FDA review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional copywriting in pharmaceutical advertising.
• Experience writing for HCP and/or Patient/DTC audiences.
• Deep understanding of FDA guidelines, labeling, and MLR/LMR processes.

Clutch is looking for a conceptually sharp, medically fluent Freelance Copy Supervisors and ACD level Copywriters for a client of ours—a premier, globally recognized health and wellness advertising agency. We are seeking an experienced pharma copy leader who can master complex scientific data and craft compelling, compliant messaging targeted directly to HCPs and/or Patients/DTC.

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation & Oversight: Lead the ideation, writing, and refinement of high-impact promotional and educational materials across HCP and/or DTC-facing channels, including convention collateral, detail aids, interactive tools, digital campaigns, emails, websites, social media and print literature.
• Scientific Storytelling: Translate intricate clinical data, mechanisms of action (MOA), efficacy endpoints, and complex medical science into clear, persuasive, and engaging narratives for physicians and allied health professionals.
• Regulatory & MLR Mastery: Navigate rigorous Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR/LMR) review committees with confidence, ensuring all copy strictly adheres to FDA guidelines, approved product labeling, and ISI requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner hand-in-hand with art directors, account leads, medical strategists, and project managers to ensure campaigns are strategically aligned, scientifically accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Mentorship & Quality Control: Review the work of junior writers, providing constructive editorial feedback and maintaining a consistently high bar for brand voice and scientific accuracy across the portfolio.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, with a mandatory background working within pharmaceutical advertising agencies.
• Demonstrated, deep expertise writing specifically for HCP and/or Patient/DTC audiences across diverse therapeutic categories.
• Expert-level understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory standards, clinical data interpretation, and Veeva/MLR submission processes.
• An exceptional portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, flawless execution, and the ability to make complex medical concepts accessible and compelling.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with comfort interfacing directly with internal teams and clients.
